Default Alberta Outdoorsmen Magazine

Every store I go into there is the new issue but nothing in the mailbox

I thought we use to get the mag before it was released on news stands but now it is over a week later. The part time outdoorsmen are out there getting the jump on the new spots and techniques while we have to wait and wait and wait............

What's up with that??????

Mine seems to show up on time? Maybe your neighbor scoops your magazine early and reads it before you?

That's my pet peeve as well! Crappy tire has copies a week or two before I get mine. Most others that I subscribe to are at my door before they are at the newsstand.

It annoys me too. I've always see them on the shelves well before I get mine. I like having a subscription, as to the best of my knowledge the publisher receives more of the funds this way. I probably won't renew, though: I don't want to wait for it if I can buy it on store shelves.

It's part of the reason why I subscribe to none of them anymore.

thinking it may have more to do with Canada Post monopoly than anything else, regarding delivery to residences

X2

Have not timed the arrival of mine with their appearance in the stores, but I usually have it by the first of the month.

But it was late in June (for the 1st time). I contacted the publisher who was going to check with the post office - then it showed up the next day.

Default hmm

alot of magazines are held back 1 week or so before being distributed to stores, so sucscribers get them first, in hopes of more subscriptions... seems to work well.

I'm going to check Canadian Tire to see if they get their copy before I get mine, I've never checked before but now I'm really curious. If they have it before I do I'm not going to be impressed, one of the reasons I subscribe is so I can get the issue before the stores do. Heck I could just go to Chapters and read it for free if they get it earlier than I do

And this is why this impulse buyer cannot have a subscription to ANY magazine.....usually end up with TWO copies of everything! Good trick though.
