Default Cold Lake Report for July 25th

Managed to convince the wife to join me for a trip to Cold Lake. Started off with my wife getting her rig snapped right off and me losing a fish within 10 minutes of starting fishing. What a start!

I should add a few more exclamation points. I have put in a lot of open and hard water trips to try to figure this lake out. I'm happy to say I'm actually finding some consistent success.

Anyways, we only fished until 2 p.m. but the fishing was awesome right until we left. We missed most of our hookups but had blast laughing at each other and joking the entire time.

Managed to land this fat one early. Not a keeper but a nice fish:

Waiting in anticipation of the next strike:

To top off a great day I finally managed to land a keeper. I have put in some time to get one. Looking forward to smoking this 7.5 lb, 68 cm laker:

I have a movie I'm uploading of the first one above but it is taking time with my slow "country" connection

Nice fish. That pike was fat! Why couldn't you keep it? Looked long enough. I'm still trying to convince my wife to drive 6 hours for a camping/fishing trip.

Here is a vid of the first one pictured above:

Lambo, that is a laker not a pike. I didn't fish for anything on Saturday but the lakers. Fat indeed though
