How can I find out which streams in AB have fish? And which have the best fishing? Is there a website or a guide book?

There's the Alberta sports fishing guide but I have seldom found stream without fish.

Seriously though, Mitchell's fishing guide is a good buy for a new fisherman. It can at least help narrow down the list of possibilities. And always keep a set of the regulations in your car/truck, that way when you drive by some fishy looking little stream you can quickly check and see if it is open.

Good advice.

There are some on here that will be happy to point you in the right direction if you ask. Dont let negative replying stop you from asking questions.

Cool

lot's of walking occasionally broken with bush whacking, rock scrambling ,casting at skittish fish.casting at unproductive water, till you put in the time to learn, what, where, when, each stream requires. the books mentioned above are a good start. till you do your time most of these waters will be rumored to contain fish.
