Watched a buddy rip his eye off with a bungee cord hook in my drive way last year... That still takes the cake for fishing accidents for me

So how would both of those be removed?

If both were barbless then apply some freezing and pull out backwards.

If finger one was barbed apply freezing, snip end of hook off and push through finger nail and pull out that way.

The eye would be a bit more interesting, if barbed would probably have to snip treble hooks off then push through eye, snip off barbed part and then pull out backwards unless they could get in there somehow and snip the hook off that is in eye then just push it through.

Freezing and likely cut the skin and nail. Looks like a long line hook. Should have been using circle hooks, probably wouldn't have happened!!!

That happened to my old man. I had just caught a ~5lb smallie and he when he grabbed it out of the net, it started thrashing like crazy and embedded a treble into his thumb. I'll never forget seeing that big 'ol bass thrashing with a treble in its mouth and a treble in his thumb.

The worst part was we were 100 miles from a road and cheaped out on getting a satellite phone. He ended up icing it and slowly working it out. After an hour of that, we were back on the boat slayin' hogs

Good for you guys, definitely could have taken a turn for the worse.

My grandpa used to be an ambulance driver up in north and I've heard of a fair share of fish hook incidents. Eyes, hands, ears, the whole lot.
