Default RV hot water tank

I have my motorhome parked at outwest for a month and am hooked up to full services. I am noticing that my hot water tank is kicking in but getting very little hot water and only luke warm does anyone know if it’s because im on constant water feed.

how long does it kick in for?

if it cycling on and off but not getting up to temp. my guess would be the thermostat on the tank is shot. easy and cheap fix (at least on my old trailer it was)

This^^

It's usually the center valve and it needs to be shut so water can travel through the tank. Had to set one up a couple weeks ago for a friend with the exact same problem.

x2...When you winterize your trailer and empty your hot water tank, you need to use the bypass valve to ensure your antifreeze goes through your system and not in your hot water tank. Trust me, I learned this the hard way when my antifreeze was emptying really quick...LOL

This is something most trailer owners miss...LOL

And when you unhook the main water line to use the bypass, make sure you hook it back up. Or you could be like me and forget that you didn't and wonder why it's taking so long to fill your water tank and walk into a trailer full of water on the floor

You must have an older trailer if you need to unhook lines to bypass the hot water tank....

My valves are in the right direction and the resets are good it must be a thermostat i have never let antifreeze go through it.
