Favorite trout lures and baits through the ice
Lets hear some of your favorite trout lures and baites fellas! My favorite lure is tiny little redish orange spoon with a small ball of orange powerbait on the hook. I've had the most success with this combo. I've also had alot of success with a small white jighead with a clear tail attached that has a sort of hollogram look to it. They love that thing. I've also seen guys out there having success with corn or shrimp on a small jig. I'm from MB so it's mostly walleye fishing there which is quite different from trout. Let's hear about your favorite lures and baits!!

my favorite trout lure is the wire from a pickerel rig put on your line about 14 inches from the end of your line, then you put a deadly dick lure or other heavy hook on the main line, then tie a small glow in the dark jig(must weigh less than the hook thaat is on the main line) on to the pickerel rig wire w/ fishing line, bait w/ powerbait or worms, works good for me

Some pretty interesting setups for sure. Does anyone use anything other than jigs and bait for trout?
