Default St. Mary's or other for walleye's??

Tried St.Mary's in the winter... no joy.

Got a boat now and want to pour my kids into it and introduce them to walleye. St. Mary's is the closest to me, but I could go further. I have't caught a 'pickerel' since I had a cabin up at Lac LaNonn up by Barrhead, ack then they were still commercial fishing the lake and pickerel were next to none.

My kids don;t believe such a fish really exists... they're mountain trout children and I'd like to expose them to more.

Some advice/help would be appreciated. PM me and I'll share some mountian fishing info w/ya if you like.

Talking St. Marys Lake

Use bottom bouncers along the shore line in about 15-30 foot of water. This is a great method to locate them. Once your on them, just sit above them and use jigs.
I was out the other day and did well!

Good luck!
