Makes you feel old when the singers of your youth, rapidly die off. Gordon Lightfoot is still with us, but looks like he died decades ago.

The new music just isn't the same. Even if its a young fellow singing old songs its just not the same.
We used to go up to that east Longview hall every year to see Ian Tyson. It was the only thing we ever went to. He isn't doing it anymore. Really miss it.
South of longveiw there was a spot in behind the Bar U. We would always stop there by the creek and have a picknick lunch on the way to the little concert. Haha it felt good to be the younger part of the crowd at a Tyson concert.

Just saw an interview with a duo my kids like (Mona Lisa Twins)....two twenty something that do amazing covers of 60's and 70's bands like the Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Kinks...etc.
They say they do this because there is no music being made today that compares to 50 years ago.
I know there are great new musicians....but it sure is hard to find them amongst all the drack out there today.

I agree with you. Country is not country anymore....
