Default Getting blood off a backpack?

So I bagged a decent buck yesterday and while packing it out (by myself, quartered it in the field) i got a bunch of blood on the right side shoulder strap and belt.
Not a big deal but does anyone have a trick for taking it out?

Spray it with Shout, rinse it with hot water

Leave it on. It will be a good story, and good camo.

My wife recently showed me that cold water takes blood out better than hot. Apparently the heat "cooks" the blood into the fabric. I can't argue with the results.
