Hey Brook Trout,

Ram has cut throat trout in it. Just a fore warning that around July 17th the ram may be running pretty hard and high due to run off. I'm not sure of this but seeing as its coming very late you should check in to it before driving all the way there.

The ram is okay for beginners but you might want to try lynx or pinto creek also while you are up there. You should do fine on the ram also.

Usually grasshopper flies work well. Big stonefly nymphs can be pretty deadly as well. Caught my biggest cutthroat ever on the South Ram....23 inches.

Some great fishing in that area. Just dont over look the smaller streams along the road as they have some very good quality and quantity of fish. Only bad thing with the south ram is access unless u have and atv. Not sure on flies as I dont fly fish but a small siver mepps will keep you catching fish all day. Was out there just south of the falls a week and a half ago camping and caught alot of fish so good luck.

Great cutty sheephunter same size as my personal best. Caught mine in the panther river.
