there's a few of them lurking, a couple guys have told me they even caught a 5er in the "lake" but i've never seen one that big there, our was caught on powerbait<lame i know> and it was a brookie....unless it was a cross but seems to have only had the brook markings..

Everytime I go there I end up gettin frustrated and head on down the powderface to hit up jumpingpound. I've only ever managed a couple 4 inchers out of sibbald. Always catch something decent in jumpingpound, canyon or prarie creeks, especially this time of year.

Just got in from the lake, with the biggest freshwater fish I have ever caught!!!
Almost twenty agonizing minutes of a fight this beast finally gave in. 22lb 40z on 12lb braid. I will never go back to mono!!
This was BY FAR the best fight I have fought on a rod, ever. We cheered so loud you'd swear we had won the Cup!!! What an experience!!!!!
Does anyone have any suggestions for a taxidermist?

Nice Laker!
Step 1 Take a length and girth measurement
Step 2 Barbeque it
Step 3 Get a replica
Best of both worlds, you can eat it. You will also have a much higher quality, better looking and longer lasting mount.

Here is a couple of bows caught last night on the Bow River.
The male came in at 19" and had some good markings and a well defined Kipe.
The female came in at 19 3/4" and was considerably thicker than the male.
Both were caught within 5 mins of each other on a 6' Ultralight using a Rapala
Still looking for a 20+ incher.

I cant tell you where that is, but there are many places you can fish from shore with a spinning rod, try policemans flats or the 22x both can be productive spots if you have the right gear.
Good luck!

24 1/4" Rainbow
Hey, anyone catch a rainbow bigger than 24 1/4"? Weighed in about 4.5 to 5lbs. My scale was too small to place the fish on so Im gonna have to get one where you can hook them to weigh. Girth was about 12" at the thickest part. I have pictures if you guys would like me to post. Caught another one that was about 23". I'm planning on sending it in for the alberta angler of the year contest, hopefully nobody beats that cause I want to win it at least once. I also lost one around the same size but unsure about the lenght as I lost it lol. Tight lines, and I'm still looking for a 30" if theres any in the bow.

Cheers,
