Got my first deer last year, got my first one alone this year. I didn't take a picture because I felt bad that I'd shot a "doe" that turned out to be a spikehorn buck, but now I regret it.

You should never regret harvesting something just be proud that you harvested it and it died in a humane manner and didn't suffer

Well, this was my first year hunting so I a number of firsts. I went waterfowl hunting in Saskatchewan, shot my first crane and first duck. Didn't connect with anything over the big game season (going for WT) but I did see quite a few deer, just nothing I was comfortable trying to take. I shot my first grouse this year too - also saw my first (and second) Lynx while hunting grouse, that was amazing.

Over all, my first season was a great success and I am looking forward to the next with great anticipation.

First turkey. Ambushed it with an arrow. Would like to call the next one in when they're strutting.
