Now THAT is unique.

The Muleys that visit my yard from Fish Creek PP still have their antlers.

Went out today, loads of deer sign, no sheds dropped. Have a trail camera, even the lithiums seem to die pretty quick. I am not impressed.

That's crazy. All my cheap stealth cam P12 IR ones will go a year or more on 4AA batteries. Any kind, energizer I put in last, non lith.

Yeah, the lithiums should have lasted. Literally put them in about 2-3 weeks ago. It's the Uway 600 camera too so I really don't know what the issue is. I may put out my cheap camera and see what happens. I have a lot of deer sign tho at the area with antlered whitetail sign, so I know it is a good area.

Went down south today. Practically no snow and found 10 oldies between the 5 of us. I'd say 1 in 20 bucks has lost one side.

On Wendsday (feb 3) I watched 5 large mature mule deer bucks with all thier headgear still attached. After watching them for awhile they got nervous and headed into a small patch of bush. Not much else bush around so I'm hopeing to check it out once I see they have dropped thier antlers. They had some nice racks.

Im feeling a little depressed as I checked some of my cams on my best shed property. Turns out the area flooded when a ice dam backed up the river pretty badlly and flooded the main bedding area in over 2 ft of ice. Not a single animal pic on the cams since the instance occured. Here is to hoping they just moved slighly and not to neighbouring properties as they are strict no access

Finally found my first of the year.

Found a guy who didn't make it through hunting season or maybe last winter.

I had no luck with my uway 600 until I loaded it up with the energizer ultimate lithiums. Months later and it is still saying fully charged.

Friday morning...as they lay.

I fired up the little Tundra snowmobile to go see if I could go scoop some easy ones in a known feeding area. In 15 minutes of looking, I managed to scoop up 9.

Went for a walk rabbit hunting through a drainage yesterday, a big herd of elk had just moved through... No sheds
Found a big bull moose carcass who'd shed.
