Has anyone been out to Carolside yet this season? Was wondering if anyone had water visibility conditions or if they're biting or not. Thinkin' of headin out there this weekend instead of Cold Lake because it's.... too cold.
Really wanted to get on it last weekend, but the wind and rain kept us away. Didn't see any brave souls outside their campers either time I drove by. Let us know how ya make out if ya head there.
Was out there May long. The fishing was pretty good whenever the wind let down enough to get a boat in the water. As for visiblity the wind was choppin the water up too much to tell. I didn't find the boat launch to be any problem........the only problem I had was the wind. If your heading out there let me know how you do as I'll probably be going there shortly myself.
Made it out yesterday, pretty nice day compared to the weather we've been having lately, wind picked up towards the end of the day but we managed to get a decent number of pike, all of them pretty small. The weeds are already making some headway... The boat launch was fine tho.
