I would say with much certainty that you will find a lot of open water to fish.

I would think it will be completely frozen minus a small section near the bridge. I would bring an auger along if I were you. Please update if you go as I'm curious.

you'll find open water and if there is ice, DO NOT GO ON!

Smaller lakes in the city and area have 3-4" of solid ice as of the weekend. I'm not sure about Pine coulee, so take precautions as it could vary, if it is not completely frozen over I personally wouldn't try. That being said I have no issues with fishing on 3" of good ice.

Curious as well...I fished Newell today, open water on the main part of the lake, south side and east side bays including Jackfish bay had 4" of good ice. Felt good to drill some holes, even though the fishing was slow!

oddly, pcr is completely open from the boat launch south and frozen near the bridge but not firm. twin has iced over but also too thin to chance. clear is good to go by foot, 4 thru 5 inches.

Interesting, must have to do with the wind direction, I thought the bridge area would be open for sure. Thanks for the update!
