Default Jiffy propane ice auger

Hey guys. Just looking for some feedback on the jiffy propane ice augers.
They seem pretty sweet.
Any first hand experience?
Thanks!

I have had my 10" for a full season and I love it. easy to start, no mixing gas, lots of power. I have heard complaints about it not running well in cold weather but I haven't had any issues.

I fished about once a week and drill about 10-20 holes each trip and i only went through just over one canister of propane.

Default Jiffy

I have had one for 3years now. They start on first few pulls even after months of sitting. Lots of power low propane consumption. Only draw back is in severe cold (-25 or worse). You have to have a second bottle handy as you only get about half to three quarters propane out of the bottle before you have to warm it up. Drills a tonne of holes on one bottle. I have the 10 inch
Food for thought

Default Jiffy

Also forgot to say I disconnect the propane between trips as I have had it leak over long periods of time

Bought a new one last year and it turned out just a bit too heavy for my old sole.

Worked good and started easy but too heavy for an old guy. Sold it and went to a lighter Strikemaster.

Just picked up an HL-8 myself, can't wait to drill some holes with it...With the Jiffy weighing in at 34-36 pounds (depending on drill size) I went with the motion lotion powered 4-stroke Honda.

I also went with the Honda 4 stroker. Weighs only one pound more than the ION elec. 23 lbs. for the Strikemaster 8: vs. 22 for the Ion.
