Default FishHunter Gets A Million Bucks on Dragon's Den

In Oct 2015, FishHunter CEO Michael Smith, and CTO Chester Yeum pitched the Dragons at end of episode 2 season 10 Dragons Den for a million bucks for 25% of their company.. and they got it!

The latest product evolution FishHunter 5 is a 3D directional model and is perhaps the best fish finder for kayak fishing on the market today, and the explosive growth of this recreational sport 'subculture' is what i believe convinced the friendly Dragon Jim Treliving to invest this rather substantial sum into the venture.

Read the story,
Kayak Fish Finder Duo Gets A Million Bucks On Dragons' Den. The story has the video clip from the show.

Default No IPhone of mine going on a Kayak

Good Idea but there is no way I will risk watching an IPhone from a Kayak.
On a boat seldom and I need to be extra careful. In a Kayak or small vessel no way for me. I will not buy it. Nice technology however.

I like it. I'm considering one for my walleye boat. You can get a lifeforce case for your phone which is totally waterproof and it would be pretty easy to make a mount for your phone if a suitable one isn't available. You would probably be able to use it river fishing from shore with a handline or second rod with heavy braided line.
Congrats to those guys for seeing a gap in the market and having the cajones to go for it!

Saw this gadget last year and thought it looked pretty cool. Was interested in buying one until I read some of the reviews. Apparently it doesn't work worth a damn and causes more frustration than anything else. Cool concept but a POS

Default Promotion on their website if you take delivery after Jan 5

http://www.financialpost.com/m/wp/bl...th-5-0-version

They have the 3D version with five transducers on a pre order sale if you take delivery second week of January. I ordered one anyways off the website and will gamble. Can't wait to test it on Gull Lake. Perch fishing up north too.

Fishhunter.com

There are two versions. The new design has five transducers. 3D
