Default First ice.

Headed out fishing in the morning. 1.5" of ice on Saturday with 4 nights of -15 or more should give me enough to get on safely. Figure it should be 2.5-3".

Made it on safely. 4" of ice and lots of fish. No monster but lots of good ones.

Absolutely beautiful I love when the ice is that clear. What part of Alberta are you in if you don't mind me asking?

Wow! I can't wait to get to fish on a lake like that someday. Awesome scenery and quite the rush I'm sure. Nice job

Hey RoosterRed...well done.

I'm looking to get a new rod/reel for my ice pike action this year. What is your set up?

I was using a ThorneBros 32" Walleyesweetheart with a Plueger Arbor real. 20lb Nanofil with a 3' 20lb floro leader. Always use a larger rattle spoon tiped with minnows.
