Ram mount finished
One of the guys in our group was lucky enough to harvest a Ram last year. The mount has arrived and I couldn't be more happy. I will take better pictures later, but for now a cellphone picture will suffice.
A big thank you to Shane Laye from Rangeline Taxidermy.

Eye shape looks a bit strange and not sure if it's the pic, but does the black on its nose and lips seem like it extends too far into the white regions? Any ram is a trophy, congrats, just being particular

Sweet ram boss than for sharing!

Your buddy shot it and you have the mount?

I'm curious why it would matter if you're "pleased", when it doesn't even belong to you...?

Pleased because he was part of the hunt and he has emotional attachment to the ram/mount I would think. Similar to the way we feel when we help our friends harvest trophy animals. STOP the witch hunt ladies. Thanks for posting Buck! Seems to take balls to post due to the peanut gallery. Congrats to your group!!

Not at all actually, just my comments on a bad mount, someday you will figure it out . Decent ram, sub par taxi work

Great Ram. Beauty color. I'm sure there's a sweet story behind it. Congrats.

I'm just as happy to see one of my hunting partners shoot a trophy rather than myself and get a mount done on it. I get disappointed just as much as my partner if he misses a big one.
Sometimes hunting can be a team event. It's all about the experiences that went into the hunt to make it successful.
And who knows, maybe his wife doesn't let him put the sheep in the house, which is why OP has it!

x1000
who cares if it's terrible taxidermy (it isn't) or a buddies or the story details are a little strange. Get over it and pass on a positive note or move on. I've heard the BC forum guys will applaud a simple doe kill like a trophy. We need to trend that way around her or the revolving door will continue....

Congrats on a nice find

Great ram! don't worry about the mount comments. Everybody has their own "perfect" mount of what they should look like. No two eyes are the same. I have seen some way worse ram mounts than that one. congrats again!

Great ram, congrats to your group. It's awesome when a team effort pays off.
Here's a pic of my twin brother's ram from 2015. There were 4 of us working together to get him. My brother pulled the trigger, but each of us played a big part and wouldn't have had a chance at him had it not been for the rest of the team. Gotta say that I'm as proud of my bro's ram as I would be if he were my own! Same team work helped us to an opening day double in 2014.
Here's to celebrating each other's success! Can't wait to hit the hills in August..

Awesome looking rams. Would love to know what they aged them at Buck and Dave. Look like older rams, full curl, 8-9 years?

Bahahahaha.... That's a good one. I feel like he has a problem with certain taxidermists and picks apart their work. Definitely one of the D bags that's keeping me from posting pics on this site.
