Hope it is because I bought one in the spring ... I haven't gotten home yet but one thing that has been brought to my attention is the weight ... 99lbs without your gear. So if there is much snow or crust on the ice dragging it will be a buggar... also you will need a fairly large amount of cargo space to get it to the lake at all.

All stuff I didn't think of before but I would have still bought it.

I've got a similar one. Works well enough for me. Not that bad to drag around, even loaded with my gear.

I plan on strapping some old skis or snowboards on the bottom to make it easier to pull. Also bought the rapala sled harness to help in the distribution of weight.

It's a trade off ... ease of set up and comfort... or you get a pop-up tent then you have to struggle to get it up and still need a sled to pull All your gear anyways.

When you think about the individual components of a decent sized sled and a regular pop up ice tent, along with a couple seats, 99 lbs isn't bad. I have a couple pop up tents (6' square and a 6'x12') and there are times where I wish I would have got a unit like this. Easier to move from spot to spot on a lake. I usually use a quad on the ice though. Not sure I would want to pull it very far by hand.

I have one but without the compartments, The door is hard to close (zipper) all the way but that's the only issue I've had in 6 years.

It's a nice tent and when I was shopping for a shelter I looked very closely at something similar, but I opted to use the pop-up tent style. The weight is certainly a consideration. It really adds up when you're fishing alone and walking pulling a sled with an auger, tackle, buckets, chair, scoops, heater, extra fuel, lunch, rods, a cordless drill for drilling in your anchors, etc... etc... etc...

Watch Cabelas, they often put the Mr. Buddy heaters on sale. I bought one in the spring 40% off. I have seen them on sale several times since.

Great shelter if you aren't dragging it through 6" of snow or more. Fully loaded mine was well over 200lb.

I just noticed that the Big Buddy heaters are $30 off regular price at Cabela's right now. Check out their current sale flyer.

Myself and 2 of my buddies bought the last 3 of the huts available online yesterday.

Big modification plans are in the works right now for them.

Should be a nice comfortable set up for walleyes this winter.

By the time i put my auger, heater, propane, rods, tackle box, tip ups, flasher, camera and all the other crap i wonder where do you put it all on these flip overs.

I like the idea of them as they seem quite mobile but my sled is full with the stuff above and a 6x6 pop up tent.

Does anyone have a good load out pic?

I have a similar sled made by Clam. Lighter 35Lbs, stronger sled, seats two but made for one, pulls nicely. Mine doesn't have the padded seat, just a bench where the seat is in the bottom picture.

This is a one person Fish Trap by Clam heavily loaded,
