Default Ultra Light

Any good streams near Edmonton to work some Ultra Light gear for trout? I know it's normally a fly game but want to work some ultra light stuff this year.

Nope, no such thing as a trout stream any where around Edmonton. Stocked ponds are the only close trout spots...need head to the foothill streams.

Tributaries of the Macleod towards Edson. UL + small water + feisty rainbows = good times.

I once caught a 5# sockeye on a 6' UL while fishing Cuttbows in a trib of Babine Lake. good times.

Classic Name, Ya that's kinda what I figured, so let me pose this question, how about near the mountains. The jasper website is good but doesn't really tell you the good places to hit.

The scenery is better than the fishing in Jasper. At least in the streams.

The Edson/Hinton area is a god bet. I have only tried the streams between Edson and Robb and have not been disappointed.
