Default Good lakes for fishing+camping?

Hi, I'm new in Alberta. Can anyone recommend a good lake for fishing? I'm looking for one with a campsite. Any suggestions are very welcome!

depends what you are fishing for and if you have a boat. but im a trout fisher and a nice easy place is chain lakes. you can fish from shore and there is a campground. i like to fish willow creek where it runs out of the lake on the south side. there is a pool at the bottom and it non stop action on a fly rod. small spinners seem to do pretty well also.

I grew up in Lethbridge, so I'm fond of the Pincher Creek area. Beaver Mines Lake is one of my favourites, as is Beauvais Lake.

Thanks for your reply! I've decided to go to Willow Creek. Would you happen to know if it's open for the season yet?

I have my favorite lakes and areas to go to. Wabamun, Pigeon, Brazeau. Both offer decent fishing and campsites. I also like having adventures. Open up a map of Alberta look for a lake I have never been to and head out for the weekend.
I wish you luck. Welcome to Alberta.
