What a thrill that would be. I remember down in St. Lucia when my step father ended up reeling in the head of a king fish and that is no where near this scale.

Very cool vid, but a bit of a letdown as I was expecting to see a 550 lb sailfish.

My last trip to Varadero Cuba was similar however my 3 ft long barracuda I had on was grabbed by a 8 to 9 ft long bull shark (looked like a bull) as it was about 40 to 50 yds behind the boat. The Captain's assistant whom had a striking resemblance to Mr Miyagi (Karate Kid) was running around freaking out and wanted to cut the line and I wanted to land the shark. He was yelling "we have no shotgun, we have no shotgun" The shark ended up biting my cuda in half and that was that, I need to scan in that picture of me holding up a barracuda head and a bit of its body on the hook and post it. My buddy Darren was laffing so hard I thought he would pee himself. Was quite a rush hooking onto a beast like that for about 20 seconds that felt like 10 minutes...what a powerful fish they are. Very cool experience.
