Park Lake opens today! Question..

Hi everyone,

Thinking about going Pike fishing this Saturday. Park Lake just opened up, and has pike! Question though, would it still be covered in ice this time of year? In addition, is it fish friendly from shore? we don't have a boat.

If anyone can suggest somewhere better for pike, departing from Calgary, I would appreciate it

Keho might be better fishing from shore. Travers, PCR, lots of reservoirs on the way down from Calgary.

Keho looks nice! A bit closer, and larger.

May 8 to Aug. 31 and Mar. 2 to Mar. 15 – Walleye limit 0; Pike limit 3 over 63 cm; Lake Whitefish limit 10; Burbot limit 10.

and opens as of today - looks like most lakes and stuff open as of May 8th.
