It's kind of actually sad that you have to put in for draws to keep a fish in this province,

Also completely untrue.

What would be untrue about putting in for tags to catch a walleye

Not every lake needs tags to keep walleye

Class A for Pigeon for me and my wife was not drawn. Good enough.

A suggestion to those against the draw, write to those in charge of making decisions rather than continually cluttering up draw result posts. Year after year, is annoying and tiring. Thanks.

Does anybody know if you can still purchase the tags at places like Canadian Tire. By looking at the iformation on Alberta Relm I am confused. Reading what they say they have to be ordered thru Alberta Relm or an Alberta Wildlife Office.
Thanks in advance.

Have to buy your tags there (should be no problem)--then submit tag number online to buy your license online

I just talked to Lady at Freeson Brothers in Stony Plain and She said they are still handling the tags again this year.

Well they there could be a good chance of being drawn for something you want in the undersubscribed because they extended the draw cause not enough people put in for them. I think they are open in 2 days

300000 fishermen and not enough support to even scoop up the tags that are allocated...what does that tell ya? Way to make your stance guys on the pathetic mismanagement of our waters. Add in the cost of pretty much every conservation officer devoting their time and efforts to nail the guy with the tag that fell off or a fish that is 2 millimeters short. Walleye, walleye, walleye big frigging deal. Sorry SNAPFisher hate to rain on your parade. Slap your tag on one of those floaters out from the provincial park in july and protect our precious resource. Bahaha.

I got B's for pigeon. I applied for Cs in lac bellevue and didn't get any even though the draw rate is 100% and there were more tags than there were people applied. I will call fish and wildlife about this tomorrow.

All I got was a bump in priority next year from 0 to 1. Still have to go to Sask to eat a fish.

fishingnewb if you applied and were successful with Class B tags you would not have a chance at Class C. Check your priority I bet you are now a 1 for class C. Draws work in the manner of Class A down once your drawn you don't get a second tag.

Too bad with all the undersubscribed licences the guys who have drawn another class aren't eligible. May help with allowing people to purchase (Silly) more tags to help meet the required/set quote numbers.

Thank you for your reply. I do agree it is silly, If I would have known that I wouldn't have wasted money knowing that.

I believe they draw A tags first, then B's, then C's. If you applied for and got an A or B tag you wont get drawn for a C.

edit: Read further and see it was already answered.
