Question Orloff lake

A couple buddies and me were planning a trip to Orloff this sunday for the day but the regs show that it's closed..

Why would they close a lake for the winter, it's a big enough lake to handle a bit of fishing pressure? Any insight would be great.

I'd check you're regs once again. It is open until March 31st.

Did not get out on Sunday. A couple buddys went out Saturday afternoon on the sleds to check access for quads. Apperently the is alot of surface water and the trail in would be a lot of work for the quads so we did not go.

Did fish Fawcett did not to bad a couple nice walleyes and a few perch. There are some open holes big enough to sink a quad or sled on the north shore and alot of surface water. A few trucks on the lake but looked like they had to work to get accross.
