A little Perching
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCDbwIfsbQI
Did a little perch fishing off the beaten path and had a good day. Didn't get any monsters but a decent meal! Got to lover perch fishing. Great action when you find them.

Thanks
Good video, helpful tips! Thanks!
One small request...Please consider killing the fish right away rather than leave them to slowly die on the ice.
Cheers

You must never been perch fishing before! If you get one move as fast as possible because they travel in groups and you may catch more! If you mess around trying to kill the little bugger you a aswell be happy with one dead one in your bucket.
Cheers, mike

What I like to do is fill the bucket 1/4 full of water and put in 4 scoops of slush. It keeps the perch fresh and you don't have to waiste time tring to kill them.

Then you have to carry that bucket around. I hole hop a lot. So carrying a bucket is not feasible since already carry a couple rods, a scoop, a Marcum and a tripod with a camera. So I don't waste any time. Fish pile up around the holes and when the bite slows I walk around and move the fish to a central. Plus we often go on two to three day trips so would rather just have the fish freeze solid and then clean em all when we get home.

Great video
When fishing with your spoon how do you like to hook your mealworm run it across two hooks or what works best I typically use maggots on my small spoons for perch

I break the meal worm in half then I thread half with the open end onto one point and then the other half onto another point. Leaves one bare point on the treble. Both halves stay on better that way and if one gets ripped off you still have half. Also it has better scent release the way with the meal worm broken.
I think i probably showed this in a past video but no clue which one or I could show you what I mean.

Yes Brandon this is exactly how I bait trebles except I put a small piece of bacon fat on the third hook, often I will put a maggot, piece of meal worm on and see which bait hook on the treble they are hitting and go from there.I use half meals on jigs and thread the J through the body with just a tiny bit of the hook poking out,its deadly!!
