Island Lake

Just got back from couple days at Island Lake. 21" to 24" of good ice.
Weather was fantastic! Glad I had the Ice 55 with me. Drilled over a hundred holes,moved around a lot.
Managed a bakers dozen keepers.

I've fished it 2 times this winter and came home with a couple bites that's it I've been fishing 16 FOW noticed a pile of holes in around 5 FOW wonder if I should fishing a lot shallower in that lake.

Question,if you seen holes shallow why wouldnt you try it?

for all species I drill holes from 3'-25' upon arrival

I defiantly tried shallow but didn't have any luck Ill give it a shot next weekend forsure!

Caught most of the fish in 15 to 18 fow but did manage afew in 5 to 7 fow.
AM and PM were best. The rest of the day just a few cigar pike.
Move around a lot and drilled a lot of holes. Gald I had the flasher. Never sat in the shack once.
