Took this picture while I was fishing for salmon off the coast of Prince Rupert. These two Humpback's demolished the bait ball we were fishing over, and that ended that! lol

Default I had fun

I had alot of fun taking that shot. Getting the lighting was a bit tough and getting the correct focus was a challenge but worth it in the end. No minions were hurt in the making of that photo. No whiskey was wasted in the making of that photo.

I had a few hours to kill at the end of the day while doing the Olds gun show, so I did a bit of photography.

Birds are my favorite subject, but not my only interest, however, since birds are plentiful and other interesting subjects can be more difficult to find, birds are what I looked for.

Dusky Flycatcher

Yellowheaded Blackbird

Rudy Duck

Mountain Bluebird

Coot Chicks

Default owl in the neighbourhood

Not a great pic but this guy has been hanging around in the green space behind my place for the last couple months.
Horned owl but you can't tell because the little birds were badgering him.

1. King of the road and his sidekick. Not sure which one was the boss the buffalo or the cowbird.

2. King of the ditch. He was a brute.

I really like this one. I played around with some night photography but never could get it quite right. I had my best results with my nikon d700 my d800 was alot higher mp and just couldnt get a clear sharp capture.

I really admire the skill and patience it takes to do great night captures.

Default resident sentry

I was picking berries beside my house and when I came around the corner my friend was sitting on the fence. For reference, the top of the 4x4 post is 9" above the top rail of the fence.
