Well there is limited areas where your going to find mule deer and whitetails in zones that are open before sept 1
The other thing, is that outfitters can hold allocations in any wmu. So it’s not like your going to be giving up a secret honey hole by saying who the outfitter was.
He could only have 1 allocation in that wmu?
It’s not like bc where you are the only outfitter in a particular area

And guest1234 definitely has another profile on here that he doesn’t want to use. Or there is no way that he would know about this thread.
As wb mentioned, a lot of poachers are busted because they are in it for the glory and will do whatever it takes to get their pictures in a magazine
I don't disagree that it is an important thing to know that this buck was taken legally. Bickering back and forth about it isn't productive. That is what PMs are for. Speculation and conjecture are just that. If a person has legitimate concerns perhaps a discussion with the appropriate authorities would be in order. They get paid to enforce these situations, and have the investigative tools to do so. This forum does not.

Never in my life have I ever seen an outfitter that didn’t want publicity for the big deer that their clients take, it’s called good advertising and in this case free. There’s not a scenario I can think of where they wouldn’t want it, “drawing attention to their area” makes no sense, anyone with experience or even general knowledge of the province can target a few select areas where getting a large mulie or whitetail are possible. On top of that I can’t say I’ve ever heard of someone hiring an outfitter and coming to scout their own deer, this whole thing doesn’t make any sense.

Exactly.

Spent many years in Saskatchewan and the deer that I had seen taken by hunters that will never be seen by anyone other then family and close friends was just incredible, huge majestic animals....the fortunate hunters just didn’t want the bs that goes around with having a successful harvest and this was before the rage of Internet.
