Default Beaver Bounties in parts of Northern Alberta

Thought I would share this that I saw today. Applies to hamlets of Wabasca, Red Earth and Calling Lake. Pretty good bounty.

I really hope this works out well for the county, landowners and trappers/hunters involved as I would love to see this implemented in my neck of the woods. I wonder what the budget is, at a 100 bucks per its going to add up pretty quick to a hefty chunk of change.

Unreal, we have gone from restrictions and some trappers only issued a couple tags each year for beaver to now having bounty. Who would have believed it could change that much in last 50+ years.

“Within the hamlets…” - so not the whole county

Nice to see them paying hunters and trappers to do the job. Hope it gets some new people involved.

One of my buddies shot a wolf and received bounty for it. You do not need DNA but if you want the money you need pics, pin locations and carcass; assuming will be same for the beaver.
