Yes. I started watching last night. Episode two was better. Looking forward to getting deeper into this series.

Worth a watch for sure. It gets a little convoluted by the end of the story, but it's a good story. There are many plot points and threads to follow, but I'd give it 4/5—great action and cinematography.

Growing up western movies were just part of our lives. They played a part in my interest of North American history right from the earliest people to modern day . The 1800's were a period of amazing transition , people of all types moving around looking for the good life and too often finding tragedy .

So with interest I tune in to some of the new Western shows , just a few weeks ago I watched all of the 1883 series which was mostly good and partly told through the eyes of a teenage girl.

" The English " has better writing than 1883 , just watched all 6 episodes . Most western movies I grew up on had shallower character development , these last two series focused more on the motivations and back story of how the main characters got to where they are . Interesting that the two main characters are not white men so things are shifting to get a broader perspective of the " real west " .

The main take-away is ... antibiotics are good !
