Default Boyds SS Evolution stock for Savage MK ii FV-SR

Just got my new stock in for my savage, I am really happy with the result!

They look great! I actually had seen those pictures on google whilst waiting for my stock to arrive. I have yet to take her out though

I did trigger jobs and action/barrel work also... they can shoot. Fun little guns... those have been moved on to new homes but I have done many others based on Savage and Ruger (aftermarket) platforms.

These HM2 builds were the most accurate of the lot... the first is a Savage MKII, and the other two are Ruger 77/22's rebarrelled with Volquartsen .17 HM2 barrels;

I had the stippling done when I ordered mine, love it, if I were to do it again I'd have them do the same procedure. As for the rest of the stock I'd do agree they are slippery especially with gloves.

I dont have a problem with this particular one, it is definitely hard for my trigger hand to slip with this design.

Also this stock is much better all around than the crappy plastic one that the fvsr came with originally

With our terrible dollar these are getting expensive. It came to $250 cad just a couple weeks ago.

yeah and the dollar is getting worse but for $250 they are still worth it the slippery is an easy fix they are a very nice stock they do good work

Also for those who wonder what these are like and havent held one in person, check out your local shops and look for this rifle http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/MARKIIBSEV savage sources some of their stocks from boyds, and this stock is the ss evolution
