Just wanted to shoot out a big thank you to all who came out! It was an epic um...gathering once again and not too many scars to show for it.

Also wanted to give a big thanks to the City of Cold Lake for having us, and a surprise visit from the mayor was exceptionally nice! Thank you for the goodies!

There are shirts left as well from this trip! If you would like another or if you were missed just shoot me a PM!

Hey post your pictures! But only the PG rated ones LOL.

Suddenly I don't want to know just what you guys were up to in the mighty IGLU!

Ok, the timeline might be a little out to lunch here.

I showed up Thursday evening along with AppleJax and Fort Fisherman and we set up camp. AJ's buddy Mike showed up sometime around 12:30-1 and we all crashed out around 2.

That night was the coldest by far...the electric heater I was running wasn't enough to keep it comfortable in the tent, so I woke up cold in the night and had to fire up the propane...easy sleeping after that

Saturday around noonish the riff-raff started to show up and the show really took off.

When the IGLU's a rockin' don't come a knockin'!

Rumtan boiling up some water for breakfast noodles

On Saturday a few of us went across the lake to do some exploring...came across this big ol' heave.

Tent city on the ice!

Saturday night was by far the best...a few ambitious souls scavenged some firewood (which we made sure all burned down) we put on some tunes and had a good ol time into the night.

In every crowd there's always one person who has to be on their phone

We even had a few fireworks. I've gotta say I'm a little disappointed...this pic looked way cooler on my phone

Does anybody have this picture from the other view?

Willowtrail had a minor equipment malfunction!

This is what happens if you get an auger stuck in the ice and you remove it with your truck!

Party tent!

Yup...timeline is borked...back to Friday!

Willowtrail and Viral_override setting up their tents in the wind.

Diggin' a hole! Eskimo augers were *just* making it through the ice...no way a Jiffy would make it, and there was a Strikemaster in the group that I think hit the bottom enough to get water in the hole but not enough to get all the way through. If anybody is doing any late season fishing up there I think an extension is a must!

Like this guy!

Tent city +1 Boler

And there is the Coles' Notes version of the pics for the trip. A lot of the ones I took came out on the blurry side...almost as though the photographer couldn't stay steady for some reason. And the rest showed shenanigans that should really only be experienced in person. If you wanna see that kind of stuff then you should probably just come out next year and join the fray!

I would have tagged along but I don't get back until tomorrow...

Hoping to get out and try this ice fishing stuff a time or two before the season ends.

Where are the pictures of the fish?

Why do you think I put Christmas lights on my tent?

Awesome, trip, thanks for the pics!

My chainsaw worked PERFECT the next day... it was something fairly... stupid. Things are always more clear in the daylight, haha.

Can't wait till next time (or summer trip), really enjoyed seeing some familiar faces, and meeting lots of new folks.

Good fishing and ice party were a bit mutually exclusive on this trip. Which, IMHO makes for the best fishing trip as long as there's good company. And there was.
