target blocks suggestions
Im looking to buy a target block to shoot at with the bow. Would like for it to be able to take both broad heads and field points. Is there anything in particular I should be looking in when buying a target block? For those that own one what do you recommend?
Im also open to making my own targets as well, tips on that would be cool also. thanks guys!

Rinehart x 3
Broad heads destroy targets. Recommend rinehart 3d deer for field tips, and a 18-1 or even a block original for broad head testing. No point tearing up expensive targets.
If you really want to make your own, find a large styrofoam cooler (no outer shell) and pack it with high density foam. It'll make a mess once you open up a big enough hole, but it's cheap and will stop most arrows.

Yep, Reinhart 18-1 for dual purpose. For field points only nothing beats the spider web though.

Only downside to the 18-1 is its a small shooting surface. That said mine has taken thousands of shots. Been left outside for an entire year and still has lots of life left. I will buy another if it ever gets shot out

Agreed on the two targets...one for Field/target tip and one strickly for broadheads...you will replace the broadhead one 3-1 to the field/target tip one only most likley pending on how much you shoot!

X 6 on the Rinehart. I have their block with the replaceable core. I use one side for BH and the other for field tips

I have a reignheart and love it. Its my favorite odther than being small, i got lucky and got it with a bow when i bought a used spyder. The targets i had before are image.jpg. LOVE THIS BAG. Its about 2 feet square so lots of surface area, arrows are easy to pull, and it holds up very well. I bought mine from sylvesters in Bonnyville for 50 bucks (cant beat that) then bought another one for a 2nd ranged target
