Funny you should mention that...back in the day I had a dog team I used to race and work for a hobby that paid for itself...we had 40 full growed Alaskan Malamute/Wolf X at a time so feeding them was a chore...a feedlot would give us cattle that were lame or had problems but the meat was safe so we would go thru just about 50 in an winter...they put them down and we picked up whole...
As a begginer Bowhunter I did exactaly the same scenio...with even the same two blade Razorhead broadheads...
It was amazing to see the power or a bow and arrow even back then....it was outstanding practice on animal anatomy and how a broadhead worked...taught me a lot!!
A funny now story about a related true story...I was the Prez of a archery club near Red Deer and we had a member ...young bowhunter...that thought it was great idea to practise on his family live cattle with a low poundage bow and a rubber blunt...
He spent a entire day bouncing that rubber blunt off the cattle...he bragged later that week on the perfect bow hunting practise he developed....then we didnt see him for a month...turns out a week later cattle started dropping dead...that bow even low poundage busted and shattered ribs causing all types of serious issues...many died!!!
