I found this interview to be very indicitive of our times. It shows how the discussion has degraded into straw men and irrationality. The fellow being interviewed is from Alberta.
Was just discussing this with a fellow member a few moments ago.
It's almost predictable, how some argue... When flaws are pointed out in their logic, they resort to slandering, or wild generalizations.
The pattern emerges, over and over again, especially when you read the comments attached to news articles. Do they get trained to do that? I wonder if some of those people are getting paid...
I thought he did an excellent job explaining reality to her.
I realise it is her job to ask the "hard questions" but it sure seemed she was trying to put a lot of words in his mouth. I do not see that as being professional journalism.
