Default Nosler Varmegedon bullets for coyotes?

Anyone using Nosler Varmegedon bullets on coyotes? How do they fair on the fur, I can't find my V max bullets at all so changing. I'm using more Nosler then Hornady lately. P and D has a lot of them in stock so, won't be bad buying a good haul of them if they aren't to bad on fur. Tipped or hollow points since there's two versions in the 55 gr catagory. Let me know your experiences or other coyote bullets for .243.

I use the 55gr flat base tipped in my .220swift and like them. very accurate, stay off shoulder and damage is not bad.

Thanks for the link. I can’t find a store in Edmonton that stocks 65 gr v max. Appreciate that.

Thanks for the info. I may buy a box to see how they shoot and how much they wreck fur. I was reading the box and I can’t remeber right but it said destructive expansion or something like that. Haha I was like, maybe not for coyotes, may as well use my .308.

Have been using them for a bit. They are very rapid expansion so will be explosive on gopher however on coyotes they explode inside the body leaving no exit wound. Performance will be similar to the vmax. I have found them to be very accurate in 22-250.

Thanks for the info, are you shooting hollow points or the polymer tipped bullets?

The tipped bullets open faster than the hollow point . I would use them and at a high velocity

I shoot coyotes with them from my 243, good shot placement and they don’t exit most of the time...... but when they do it’s messy

My swift will scatter hornady 53 gr vmax all over the target. Using the nosler 50 gr I can cover a five shot, 100 yard group with a dime.

I'm using the flat based tipped units out of my .243.

As other have reported, small entrance with no exit when you hit soft parts of the dog, things get really messy if you hit bone.

What muzzle velocities are you people seeing, those who say it doesn't exit the coyote ?

Significant other used 58gr in his 243 (@ 3850 FPS), and they almost always came out the other side unless he was 500m away...
