also you can dip the ends In wax , or use varnish, shellac, urethane, but you need something right away.

I understand green ash works quite well. If you want raw wood from that or cherry, or pretty much anything that grows in peoples yards pm me, I put tons of it into my firepit and the dump.

Osage trees grow up and down the fence lines here in TX. Produce grapefruit sized fruit (with no edible fruit), so they are easy to spot. Wish I could figure out an easy way to get you guys what you need. With shipping costs, it just wouldn't make sense.
