Does anyone know anywhere around Calgary that carries two part silicone for mould making? Also plastisol?

If anyone has tried to make there own before and has any tips id appreciate it.

http://goindustrial.ca/index.php/en/ has the mold silicon but be prepared for sticker shock, that stuff is not cheap. an alternative for some molds is Plaster of paris or Durhams Water Putty (pretty rare in Canada but I have found it at Windsor plywood). The big thing with those is no undercuts or use a flexible master.

I go my plastisol from PM hobby craft north store I think the person to talk to is Rod I have the contact at my office. They don't stock it but when I got mine they piggy backed it with a big store order so you can't be in a rush the order happens when it happens, but no shipping cost which is nice.

one other thing to consider is colorants I got epoxie dyes from industrial paint and -plastics but they are iiffy they bleed a fair bit so I would get dyes right away too. So to start I would say couple gallons base resin, softener, heat stabilizer, and a base set of colors

or there is a Canadian lure parts web site http://www.luremaking.com/ they have it as well, but I have not ordered from them yet so IDK about customer service.

Thanks for the reply.
I seen their website yesterday but kind of figured they'd be pricey since they won't put a price online.
I made a mold last year one with plaster of Paris and another using bondo. But they don't have any flexibility in them.
Pm hobby I never even thought of them I might take a drive there today and see if they'd could get me some.
Did you make your own wire harnesses and balance the weight or did you order it?

How have your past lures came out?

The lures have come out OK, I did buy some basic prefab swim bait molds, an the bigger ones either a weighted swim bait hook or big worm hooks. I'll also cast in a tube jig heads into some of the swim baits.

Lately I have been focusing on learning how to paint lures, So I paused a bit on the soft plastic side.

The hidden upside is the plastic is very recyclable if the bait is not perfect cut it up and melt it down.

Oh yea get your own microwave and a well ventilated place to do it, lots of stink and fumes.

At some point I want to make my own version of Mr Wiggly (if you have not found already https://www.youtube.com/user/MakeLure

Ya I've made a bunch of different lures with clay. Now just need to make a mold and start making them.

Seen that video and have been following the same steps but with a pike and trout design
