Default Interesting coyote pair on trail cam

Second one looks to be three legged but the first one also appears to be favouring front leg shoulder?

Trail camera caught them crossing into one of the areas we plant pheasants for dog training so sure they are picking up any wounded birds they can.

Default Havent heard of anyone trapping or snaring them in this area

but I guess it is possible.

I had a coyote a year or so ago at bait pile near pheasant pens 200 yards from house but by the time I got out on deck it was moving and probably 300 yards from house. Hit it and it spun but got up and left the area. Got dressed and followed it noticing blood and where it had laid down a few times for over a mile. Saw it ahead of me again 1/2 hour later still going strong so gave up the chase. Pretty sure that is one of them as we have seen a limping coyote out by the slough last fall just after the ice came in on ponds when I didn't have a rifle with me.
Other one missing a leg is a mystery though!

I got one about a month ago that had 3 legs it was an old injury and the coyote was in great shape so it didn't slow him down to much

Neat video:

And I thought I was the only one who had a couple of orthopedically challenged coyotes roaming around.

Tough beggars eh!!!!

I'd have to agree too. Very interesting! Now, did they become mates because of the similar injuries and no other 'yote would mate with them, or were they previously mated and both got hurt in somewhat the same way? Guess we'll never really know for sure.

I think all of you are over analyzing them. They seem to be merely enjoying a nice, friendly game of 'simon says'....
