Default Who to get to do a wildcat build?

So i am going to do a 375cal on a 300wsm brass, I am looking for a gunsmith that isn't going to make me wait 5 years to do anything, also not going to charge me $3000 for chambering and putting a barrel on a action.

This will be a guiding gun, i want it to shoot 3" at 200yds (acounting for me not being the most still person and not going to be bench rest shooting)

Also what brand of barrel would you recommend too?

KS Arms in Edmonton can do all you ask. They also do barrels but don’t know if they have a drill for .375?

at rocky mountain house or at least that is where he gets his mail,

jury barrels likely is good enough as you are not going to bench it and they also work well,
call KS arms and see if they make those kind of barrels

I would try the new trigger tech trigger as well

what about a wildcat stock it might be lightweight and BOBBY has put lots of those stocks on and I have been to wildcats operation and stueeeeee is nice guy and knows his stuff

should only be a couple of months from start to finish MAX order the barrel soon, the stock unless you have one is a month I think

it should go quick if you get on the list before April fools

also remple in Langdon might have reamers

but only call those who may do the work, not fair to take an hour of their time
and use others
if you are on the phone longer than 5 minutes with remple you get an award

later and have fun

You could get some shilen barrels in .375 and have a smith thread/profile/chamber them.

I always thought a browning BAR in .325WSM or .300 WMS rebored to .375 would make a fast and incredibly potent arm for one of those "might be a grizz in that thick bush" rifles.

If you could rebore an existing WSM rifle that would save you money, might be in the $450-650 range if the smith can use a reamer from another .375 caliber for the neck, though they can custom order those as well.

Who is making barrels in Calgary? Why not pick up a 375 ruger guide gun and rock on?

Best suggestion so far. The Ruger case is .48" longer than the WSM. That 1/2", more or less, will save you at least a couple grand in gunsmiths, barrels and expensive dies!

I have four Jury Barrels and they shoot as well as any Shilen, Lilja or Pac-Nor I ever had.. The guy's on machine #4 probably built those. Bob makes his 100% himself and he is a perfectionist. Same with Ron Smith. As good as any..anywhere.
