See you there Oki! We'll be there too. Just look for the guy in the camo speedo's and looks like he belongs in Trailer Park Boys.

lower k is low but I've definitely seen it lower, the launch is fine.
upper is now almost clear of ice. I would think by tomorrow it should be open.

Default Accessible Lakes or Ponds near Calgary

Hi Folks, haven't been able to get out for a few years due to some medical issues. Am back on top now and want to get out and CNR some trout. Usually fly or light spinning gear. I have balance issues and rough terrain makes it pretty tough to cover. Any suggestions. The lakes in the preceding post look fairly flat to get to. I appreciate any input.
Thanks

I think you would have no problems. You can drive and park pretty close to lakes in a number of places. William Watson Lodge is a facility there for those with disabilities who want to experience K country. Totally accessible to wheelchairs, etc. it's on Lower K lake.

Hi, Thanks for the input. The pictures look pretty good. Think I will drive out tomorrow and go for a scout first.

Hello

Ice is off Upper Kananaskis Lake. However the cold water and lack of insects makes it very difficult to fly fish this time of year. End of June or early July is always a better time to fly fish there.
Scenery is spectacular with the snow and runoff occurring. Photos from Sat, June 3 are attached.

Cheers,

Nickolas
