Default Spruce Meadows Pond

On Saturday I moseyed on over to spruce meadows pond...haven't been there in years but I know they used to stock it and allow fishing. When I got there I found out it's been closed to fishing. But I walked around it and ran into a huge fish that was sitting just off the bank, must have been 5-6-7 pounds. I couldn't ID is so I was wondering if anyone knows what's going on there? Looked like maybe it could have been a carp? It wasn't a rainbow that for sure. Bunch of little 1 inch minnows swimming around too.
