Breakaway devices.

Can you use regular S hooks from the hardware store for breakaway devices? What size would you recommend? Thanks for your help.

I looked (sideways) at some in the hardware stores, but I think I will stick with the proven ones. You never know what temper or quality of steel is in the one's "made in china" types. And, you will be really torqued if you lose a nice dog because you saved a few cents on the s-hooks.
