Default fleas

I've been told that freezing doesn't kill them all, so what do you guys do to kill or prevent any infestation of fleas while on the line ?

I used to put critters in a plastic bag and spray raid in there and let sit for some time. Now I've shaved my head and just don't let the fleas bother me. Just wipe them off my bald scalp and carry on.

I spray them with raid too! Foxes are the worst! When I skin them they don't seem to bother me, but when I get in the house they are in my clothes and seem to love my wife and bite her all night long! Now she makes me spray all the animals!

Take up a couple more notches on your belt before you start. You don't want them to get down to low. If they get there, then you will have first hand knowledge of fleas and maybe a left hand or a right, maybe both...

What if you used House & Garden Raid? It has a different smell that might not offend as much.

I've just been putting them in a deep freeze for 4-5 days before skinning and this has seemed to do the trick. Has anyone out there not had the freezer work ?

We had a fox froze for weeks and when thawed it was covered in fleas, hundreds. Now it's Raid and then bagged.

When I bring all my fur home in a bag I give them a shot of Raid and twist bag shut for an hour or so. Like the ad says "Kills them dead"

I've seen fleas of stone cold frozen animals but I can't see them lasting for long. No more food or body warmth.

And cap full of lacquer thinner in a garbage can or bag of 1/2 hour kills them.

I just used an insecticide for a cattle oiler mixed in a spray bottle. Seemed to work fairly well.Same deal I put them in a garbage bag and left them for some time.
