Default a different view on climate crisis

This is a long, one hour twenty minutes, video about climate crisis and change. Even if you skip through it you will get the idea. Very eye opening if it's even close to the truth!

EVERYONE needs to watch this. Truly reveals what most of us have suspected all along.
Either society will collectively revolt against the nonsense or ultimately collapse in the face of the crippling attack on prosperity and freedom. That is the crisis we are facing and being hit in the wallet is the most likely way people will wake to hell up.

If you have access to X (formally known as Twitter) this is a good interview.

ITS GALLING when Steven Guilbeault speaks to reports about the fires, and floods and blizzards and droughts and claims those are examples of GLOBAL WARMING/climate change…

Its not. Climate change is when trends over a significant period of time is seen in climate averages.

However any single event is just weather. Many things affect weather such as El Niño and La Niña.

This climate factor is directly attributed to this past years weather. How much CO2 Canada produces (~2% of world output) is insignificant to changes in weather and climate in Canada and the world. In fact increasing coal power plants in China has blown away our efforts.

Hammering our economy and its population over trying to drop our CO2 output by 0.3% of the world and at all costs makes little sense.

What is true is climate change happens. We may be on a 500 or 1000 or a 10000 year climate cycle. We may be on an up trend on an up sloping change or an up trend on a down sloping change in climate temperatures. We can’t know that because we are only using an extremely small period of geologic time to freak out about.

We also know for sure the earth is warming. Since the last ice age the earth has warmed. 13,000 years ago the Columbia Icefields extended to the Bow Valley Campground.

What scientists won’t say is what percentage of warming is natural versus manmade. They can’t. It’s impossible so just lead the world to believe it’s 100% manmade. Most believers says it all man caused.

A prudent government would be using surplus GDP to make Canada more resilient to a warming planet and at the same time protecting for cold snaps. We would stop encouraging people to build on flood plains, bottom of drained lakes (BC lol) and along rivers prone to flooding.

Then as a country… we have a ton of trees absorbing CO2 that should have maximum credits.

Shush. Ottawa uses those tree carbon offsets for their plane flights to far far away places.

the climate has been changing since the BIG BANG! Its only human arrogance that thinks we are the cause or can magically create the solution. Over population is the bigger threat.

Over population and over consumption. the video kind of minimizes that angle, cheap goods, way beyond our needs.

An interesting link one professor on that video makes between solar winds and their effect on cosmic rays from super novas as climate/weather drivers. CO2 is not at all driving climate change, it follows it.

This. This is about as far as I'll go with any sort of guilty conscience. The amount of crap we throw out. Buuuuuuut, I feel the blame is more so on the manufactureres of crap goods for pure greed. Simple analogy, my 50 year old beer fridge in the garage...... In the time i've owned my home 15 years I've gone through 3 "newer" refridgerators in the house. Next time that breaks, I'm moving the ol sears kenmore beer fridge back into our kitchen, I don't care if it doesn't match the other appliances. Recently bought a used electrolux vacuum. 40+ years old. $80 and it sucks way better than the 9 dysons I've had prior.

Enough is enough, need more folks making quality products that last. Charge more. Sorry to the shareholders. Time for change in that department IMO.

We are one of the cleanest countries there is .The biggest polluting think in this country is the crap that comes out of JT's mouth . 5000 pigs and cows hold nothing on that bucket mouth .Every time he opens his pie hole there goes 10 billion bucks to other counties ,hell nothing pollutes like him. The fact is that there have been at least five major ice ages, the climate changes without man, and there is nothing that we can do to stop it. If you accept that man can accelerate the change, then you also have to accept that reducing Canadas emissions is meaningless, unless you can greatly reduce the emissions from China and the other countries, whose emissions are so much larger. China is building more coal burning plants, which more than offsets any change that we could possibly make, so destroying our oil and gas industry to virtue signal, is asinine.

I will say this much for sure is humans are half as smart as they pretend to be, have less understanding of this planet than we want to admit and have little to no intentional control over the planet

No I don’t not support man made climate change theories. Throughout the history of this planet the climate has changed many times. Why do we think it’s going to stop now and what makes humans think we are the deciding factor even though this has taken place before we existed

Do our actions have negative impacts on air, water, and soil quality yes 100% on that. For these factual reasons we should look towards limiting environmental impact and work towards feasible alternatives.

Just look at the long history of doomsday/impending doom caused by man theories have been pushed throughout history. They either pass quietly to the next new buzz, morph into another variation, fade as the number of holes in the theory grows, or just turn out as false

At the slim chance the human caused climate change is real well our leaders sure are botching a plan to combat it. All they seem to be interested in is bleeding money from society with no accountability for the spending of it. So many BS policies that are just virtue signaling. There is no attempt to convert/build infrastructure to actually make long term changes. Right now it’s cancel everything without a sufficient replacement or even a solid plan in place to develop one

Let’s not talk unreliable windmills either

The whole human caused climate change garbage is just full of hypocrites, virtue signaling, big money scams, and has generated some of the stupidest things the human race has accomplished

If society/government was actually working towards improvements to improve how we look after our air, water and soil instead of pushing doomsday scams to fleece money from people you would see more respect/support for logical improvements to how we operate as a society

But really we just need more taxes with no plan to use the money for a solution and cancel things without a reliable alternative it seems to be working wonders

The fact is, that climate change is being used to gain control, and power over the citizens., just as covid was. It doesn't matter whether we can actually enable any change, certain governments will use the climate change agenda to control industry, to control travel, to transfer wealth, and to eliminate the middle class, and create a society composed of the elite rulers, and the poor workers.

In the grand scheme of things I would say no. At most humans are a minor temporary nuisance to the earth. Before humans were here and long after humans are gone we will be just the tiniest blip on the graph of earths timeline having no permanent effect.. We are only here temporarily. Sooner or later the earth will burp and fart, or a virus, asteroid, increase or decrease in the suns temperature and intensity, or something we don't even concieve of yet will come along and take us out or knock us back to a remnant of what we are now. It is quite audacious for us humans to think we have control of our planet, atmosphere or solar system. We are just another number in a long list of species that have come and gone and life will go on with or without us.. Humans are just another parasite on mother earth, why we think we are above that is beyond me.

I believe there is an effect… it is just hard to quantify TO WHAT EXTENT over and above natural change.

Do you believe 100% of any shifting change in earths climate is caused by humans?

If so the climate changes that start the earths warming 13000 years ago stopped when?

It is an interesting topic. On forums those saying man is the primary cause will also say the science is proved… however it’s proved via computer models… that to date have been constantly proved wrong over time.

I personally feel the push over climate change has had one great outcome and many poor outcomes.

Good outcome is the secondary true pollution… not CO2… such as particulates and sulphides and worse compounds like benzenes have by association been reduced.

The negative is driving down our standard of living, wasting money on stuff that has had zero value for taxpayers and society, reducing our competitiveness in the world and worst of all… the hard left push to vilify oil and gas and their companies and workers and provinces where most reside. It’s forced a dramatic wedge into Canadian society and has been used as an excuse to transfer wealth in order to garner votes to keep certain parties in power.

The planet has been warming since the Las ice age ended. Need proof? Go to the Columbia icefields and observe the melting glacier. Maybe the planet is warming faster? Kinda like watching a ice melt in a drink. Slow than fast.

This is true. Then Trudeau bangs on his pulpit, and calls it a climate crisis or climate emergency, while he is flying around in a private jet or jets in some cases. Everyone’s B.S. meter should be in redline. Constantly distracting people with other fake issues like racism and gender issues. Things that they can cry out as if they care but actually do nothing.
Trudeau has a tell. It’s just like a drug addict. If his lips are moving, he is lying. I don’t believe he is capable of an honest word.

What drives me nuts about the followers of the global warming and climate change debate is their blind faith in 'science' and 'scientists' from either side of the arguement.

I have about as much faith in todays scientists as I have for politicians, tv preachers, movie stars or used car salesmen...the vast majority are on the take and are subservient to whoever is writing the check.

Science has been bastardized, paid results are the rule, credible non biased scientific findings are rare, largely ignored, dismissed, ostracized, marginalized and shuttered if they do not follow the benefactors agenda.

I don't believe it and neither do governments. If they did the country with natural gas would be shipping it world wide to get rid of coal fired electric generators. They don't worry about it because it's not true, nobody says boo to China about the coal. So no they don't believe it either. Follow the money and the desire for absolute control of citizens.

The planet’s been a lot colder, and a lot hotter in the past. Just because we like how it is at this point in time doesn’t mean it’s going to stay that way. I’m sick and tired of everything being portrayed as a “crisis”.

I see in the news that the Niagara Region in Ontario has declared a “State of Emergency” - out of an “abundance of precaution” to “safeguard the health and safety of visitors and residents and critical infrastructure in any scenario that might arise” - due to the influx of expected visitors to view the April 8th solar eclipse.

People are so tired of all of the ‘experts’ crying wolf - it’s no wonder we ignore ‘emergency crisis’ claims. I’m filing ‘climate crisis’ in my bollsht file, along with Comet Kahoteck, Y2Y and the ‘Covid will kill us all’ scare.

I love this interview where President of Guyana rips self righteous BBC reporter a new one for criticizing his country on Oil and gas production.

There is nothing wrong with science however true science means being encouraged to prove a hypothesis wrong. In the climate field if you try to prove anthropomorphic global warming doesn’t exist or isn’t significant you get blackballed by colleagues and refused grants. The peer pressure is tremendous to add anything to a study that references nasty people warming the earth.

Then one delves deeper to find that most “studies” are what if studies or computer models. Computer models can be proved wrong over time… however researchers run a million simulations to find another that fits the new narrative.

The what if studies are frustrating. What if the earth warmed and water levels rose a meter. What if global warming caused a nation wide drought in Canada.

Science can say a measles vaccination prevents measles. It’s easily tested and proved right or wrong. They can track a billion people over the past 50 years. But studies that say driving a car will kill our grand kids can’t be proven. Beware any “study” which is worded to drive emotion versus science.
