Default Beavs

ANyone sell any Beaver? I feel for you Spruce with the load you caught this year!! I had 8 at sale and the only one that sold was a Damaged 1 with good colour. Got a whole $10.50 for him. Not sure if the others will ever sell and they are the better fur? Had 2 of them in last sale as well and they still didn't sell. What a crap market. Hope lynx sells at least.

Some of the long fur went fairly well but beaver has always been the bread and butter for many trappers.

This is not good. I averaged $25.00 on beaver back in the mid 1980s, it was a decent price back then what with the average wage being under $10.00 per hour and fuel selling for around .30 cents a liter.

sorry to hear how bad prices are for beaver, esp when you see how much a beaver hat costs in the store (aroun 300.00 and up at wss).
if they don't sell or are "bought back" does that mean that they are returned to you?

selling beavers via the auctions hasn't been profitable in a long time. IMO

doesn't mean that there not profitable.

Default Beavers

Yah that sucked, again. I sold 2 of 21 for a $33.00 average. I sell all of my 2XL-3XL beavers privately. They will sell eventually. FHA is looking like the better option for beavers right now anyways. That's were mine are going.

No, they will be held by the auction house until the next auction or possibly sold private treaty.

I sent in 5 beavers and none sold I had 1 that was XL *I and not sold. Good thing trapping beavers is fun cause it sure isn't profitable. All my castors sold so that is ok. I would figure that guy wont be targeting beavers this next year unless I get beaver trapping fever.
