Just moved to Edmonton and I am looking for a lake I can shore fish with the family. I am new to fishing so I an excited to give it a try. Kids are 7 and 9 and we want to eat what we catch, I have never eaten pike is it any good?
imho if your just starting out and have children you should try the stocked trout ponds around edm. my favorite is hermitage, especially with kids as they love to look at all the geese and goslings and acsess is great and they have a dock to fish off if you like.
p.s. the last 1/4 of the northend of pond a poor place to fish.
