Default FIRST RAM!!!........ kinda.....

Went sheep hunting 2 weekends ago, saw 51 sheep over the weekend, but none were legal or anything close. I did how ever find this guy burried in a drainage the first night. Was extremely excited. Just picked him up from F&W this afternoon, wasn't done yet but the officer dropped what he was doing so he could do what he needed for me to take it home and had a good chat with him. Super nice guy. Gorgeous country out there too. Any suggestions as to how to preserve this, prevent future rotting?

Degrease and whiten the skull, reattach horns to cores.

Thats an awesome find!!

I'd have the skull whitened for sure and then just clean up the horns and re-attach.

You will want to whiten the skull. However, it looks pretty brittle because of the conditions that you found it in so the bone may be soft. If you think it is hard enough to whiten, buy lots of peroxide and soak it in peroxide and water for a night and then let it dry out really well. Then you can glue the horns back on.
